Things I want!

Hey guys. Check these things out:

This is a cupcake carrier. It has three levels for mulitple cupcakes and keeps you from squishing all your hard work while in transit! Isn't this great? It can be found online by simply googling 'cupcake carrier.' As can these two little goodies:

Aren't they great? I found them at : http://www.thisnext.com/media/230x230/4A6780BD.jpg

Whoa update!

So yeah, i've been MIA for a while. Lots of crazy things have happened though. I went to EUROVILLE for a while. Took LOADS of pictures but it would simply take way too long to upload even just a few of them, so i'll pick one that I think captures the whole trip and post that one for you guys.

Secondly, I bought lots of great things today for the business I plan on starting with my friend in NC...I plan on emailing her right after this post :3

Thirdly! Its now been two years between me and my sweetie, Wesley. It's exciting to think about ^___^

But yes, I am back, and on summer vacation, so there are lots of things in the works...I'm buying different scraps here and there for my halloween costume. I'm gonna be Mrs. Lovette and Wesley is gonna be Sweeney Todd. We will own face.

Love love,
Christi Bug.

Just a little update.

I found this online today at a lovely website called beaucoup.com, and thought it was really lovely. Its a cookie platter, which is really cute to me, and I think a really simple DIY sort of wedding idea. I like the sunflowers, and would change the bees ( oh yeah, def. the bees.) and the daisies to more fit my theme of fall and pumpkins =]

Its also something that anybody can have done for their wedding. The picture featured is from the Spring themed wedding, which is a really cute idea =]

So its been a little while since I last posted...

Things in life catch up and make simple things like this seem impossible ya know!

I've been collecting lots of things on my computer though that I wanted to post about when I finally got time.

Right now i'm kind of just sitting here before class trying to stay awake, so i'm gonna take the time to post today :3
Firstly, I've been entertaining the ideas of having a garden party/BBQ on our back porch for a little while lately. I think it could be fun and cute. Mom has a garden on the back porch that I would like to post some pictures from one day that she's been working on for a while now. Its her little secret garden out there with like, all these plants that she's saved off the "dead and dying"rack from Lowes so it's a variety of plants, fountains, trelaces, etc. She has a patio set out there and I think it would be really cool to string up some of those lights I have and just have a little bbq/garden party out there one evening. I could design some little invites like this for the evening :3 I really liked the little sunflowers on there in the window sill effect and thought that was super cute. Very simple without being bland.

In other news, Wesley and I went to the Irish Festival in Jacksonville City this past saturday. We really had fun just wandering around and looking at all the booths. He enjoyed himself with some Guinness whereas I just enjoyed myself =] We were able to find his family name and coat of arms. Apparently his family was royalty back in good ole' Ireland somewhere back in the day, so he was amazed about that. But here are some photos =]

Makin' faces!

The two of us together. Thats him holding up his drink there. My hair is doing something crazy and poofing out at the top of the braid there.
KILT!

and lastly: Meet our new ferret, Prince Ali!

Chantal Haye's " Fairytale Fantasy."

Client: Chantal “Kitty” Hayes
Theme: Fairy tale wedding with an asian structure.

Color palette:
Silver being the main color with various hues of blue and forest green as the accents.

Kitty pictured a garden wedding at late afternoon so the reception could be in full swing when the sun went down and the party can begin~ She wanted a fairy tale sort of atmosphere, so I pictured a garden with a bridge and a patio area, with lots of trees and added bonus if there is a source of water floating around the area. As pictured below, a bridge would be beautiful at night with twinkle lights stringed around it, helping that fairy tale feel when the sun goes down. It would almost feel like little fairies or fireflies twinkling around the wedding

If possible, a terrace such as this would be gorgeous for the bride and bridal party to come through when walking down the “aisle.”

And out to the stone patio where the ceremony would be performed….<3>

This added touch could also be brought into the table center pieces if desired, or simply strung around the outer limit of the affair so that when the guests look around, no matter what direction, little tear drops of “crystal” sparkle in the distance. Another idea to consider as far as lighting goes, is hanging votives. Or candles, rather. the clear and frosted versions of this are really pretty, and even the green would tie into the brides color theme and could look really pretty hanging from certain areas. I wouldn’t recommend these particular candles as the ones to hang from trees due to the not so high walls around the flames, but these right here would be nice. This could even be really pretty to have hanging around the alter while they exchange vows.
Heres an image I found that was rather inspiring with the natural look and the hanging candles.

As I said before, lots of lovely little quirks will be what bring this wedding all together. Here are some little ideas I found that distributed throughout the affair, could all come together to make the event unforgettable.

The little elephants are Asian symbols of good luck and would be considered wedding favors for all of the guests. It might also be interesting to have a jeweled chest with different asian coins stringed together in bits of three or four for the guests to take with them as favors as well. Little burlap bags might be a nice addition as well for the guests to put their little elephants and coins in.

The table settings should be relatively simple so that it doesn’t become overly crowded, so I would suggest a simple arrangement of alternating these candles between the tables. One blue, one green, one blue, one green…
These wooden pencils are a really cool idea to have beside the wedding guest book for them to sign with and are relatively cheap additions to the wedding that few will forget. This bride is one of those who “ dream in color” and therefore these dresses felt appropriate suggestions: Here is the dress with the silver train. The great thing about this designer is that all of the color areas are interchangeable and can be adjusted should the bride like the style but not the color choice. Of course, as stated before, fashion changes very quickly and that goes double in the wedding industry.
Here are some flowers that match the color theme and season, as well as some images of cakes. The blue orchid is especially pretty.
